Lynnea took me with her to her usual Tuesday night haunt…and these were some of the comments that were heard:
- “You can’t do much with a tight tongue.” (I know people who might disagree with that statement)
- “I had a really good word for you yesterday…give me a minute & I’ll think of it.”
- “Give ‘em dough, please.”
Last September, Lynnea got started with a local chapter of “Sweet Adelines” (think acapella 4-part harmony for women). Tonight was her usual practice but it was also an Open House in the hopes of adding to their small group. I went with her to check it out since she’s been having so much fun with it, and I was solicited to join by everyone in the group. It was fun and funny to see and hear some of the comments that flew while they were warming up. Taken within context the comments were funny, out of context, they were hysterical!
I warned Lynn that I would be writing about what I heard tonight…and there you have it.
