UGH…Is Monday over yet????

I knew it was going to be a doozy…but GEEZ!!!!

Brian got “laid off” today…long story that starts last Thursday and continued into today.  The first time since my darling husband started working that he is without a job.  UGH!  Also the first time both of us have been “out of work”.  I know we won’t starve or lose the house or anything…but it’s a bit frightening none the less!

David started back to school…I didn’t get to take him to school for the first day, so I felt like a total LOSER Mom!  He didn’t want me to take him to school…he wanted to ride his bike, which was fine considering I had an appointment across town…but it was yet another first.  Add to that the fact that he had a minor meltdown, completely unrelated to school, prior to leaving for school.  I was really afraid the meltdown was setting the tone for the whole day…and I wanted him to have a GOOD first day in fourth grade.  I was on pins and needles waiting for him to come home from school…and he came home with a great big ole smile on his face…YEAH!  He enjoyed the day, so I was able to relax a bit.

I’m tellin ya…this day has almost had me praying to the “Porcelain God” all day.  I am so glad it is almost over!

On a positive note…Bri already has a job interview lined up for tomorrow.  He doesn’t waste any time, I tell ya!  Wish us luck and a prayer or two if you are so inclined would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Pammie…

What?! I am shocked to hear that Brian is out of work. What in the world happened?!? I will be calling you this week to catch-up. It has been too long.

P.S. I am moving back in October!

  2. I am so sorry to hear about your DH’s job. I will be praying for God to lead him to the perfect job & in a speedy manner!!

Glad that David had a great first day of school. (despite the meltdown) Praise God!! I know the pain when they leave after having a “not so great” morning. We have seen our share over the years!

  3. That’s a relief. I’ll keep my fingers crossed. I’ve got two interviews this week myself.
