Something to look forward to!

YEAH!  I’ve needed something to look forward to!  I’ve been so down since Brian left!

The other night while on the phone with Michele, she planted the seed that I should come out for a weekend.  I NEED to go spend a weekend with my husband!

So I started out on this “romanticized” idea of flying in to Bismarck, renting a car, and driving out to Brian’s work and be there waiting for him when he got off work.  He, of course, would be surprised beyond belief to see me standing there waiting for him, and, needless to say, thrilled to death.  Visions of me standing there in a trench coat, heels, and not much else, in the middle of a parking lot covered by snow, freezing my ass off!

Thankfully, Rochell talked some sense into me.  My hubby isn’t much into surprises (isn’t it funny how women go to a lot of trouble planning stuff that they really want their significant other to do for them…but it never really works out as planned!)

So I called Brian and asked him if we could afford $300 for me to fly out there for a long weekend.  His response (typical Brian), “Why, what’s wrong”.  In his “worst-case scenario” thought process I think he thought I was delivering divorce papers or something equally tragic.  When I told him it was the next weekend he was off work and that I “NEEDED” to see him, then he was all for it!

Yeah, I get to see my husband a week from tomorrow!  Thank you God, I think my sanity has been officially saved!
