Have I mentioned how beautiful the weather is here? I love having all the windows open and allowing the breeze to blow throughout the house. Some days, like yesterday, it’s more of a howling wind, than a light breeze.
Because it’s so temperate during the day, the nights get pretty cool…something I count on! When we first got in the house we slept with the windows open, but Brian and David complained about waking up in the morning, “freezing” (…whine, whine, whine! Got back to Vegas you wimps!). So usually, since I go to bed last, I close the windows when I head to the bedroom for the night. Last night, though, the whiney twins shut the windows way too early! The result? Well I was up at 2am too hot to sleep.
I went out to family room, turned on the ceiling fan, and opened some windows, which would have been perfect sleeping weather, it we actually had furniture to sleep on! It’s really hard to fall asleep in a folding chair! Needless to say, I didn’t! I was finally cool enough and tired enough to head back to bed at 6am. Then slept the sleep of the dead until the alarm went off at 7:15am. Oh YIPPEE!
Some days, life just sucks!
