Boy…I’m frustrated!
While in the shower this morning…there was a call from an unfamiliar phone number. I called my voicemail to find out it was the Census Bureau! YEAH…it’s about friggin time. I took that test a while ago and one of the ladies I tested with heard from the Census Bureau within 48 hours and was on her way to training. I will admit that I pouted a bit about that but reminded myself “what’s to be will be”.
After hearing the message from the Census I quick, got dressed and called back in…less than 15 minutes had passed from the time the initial call came in and me calling back. In that less than 15 minutes they LOST MY FRIGGIN FILE!!!! Three people I have talked to claim to have torn the office apart and still can’t find my file. They are in the process of closing out files of people who showed initial interest but are no longer interested. So the “boss” I was talking to said to just hang tight because my name will pop up again because there are so few people who actually want to do the work after taking the test.
And the kicker of the whole thing is that the training is scheduled to be here in Mott at the end of the month. I wouldn’t have to worry about going out of town for training, and worrying about Brian’s work schedule versus David’s school schedule, etc.
The Census Bureau giveth and they taketh away…never would have thought it would be within a span of 15 minutes, though. I’m praying they find the file ASAP!

How is census training going? I sent mine in the day after it came. Jon said in WY they go gouse to house. Sounds like Mott does the same. Hope it all works out for you and that you enjoy it!
