Loaf Perfection

After MUCH reading and raving reviews…I broke down and bought the book pictured above. I love it! So does Brian! He is raving about having fresh, homemade, from scratch, bread.

After finishing yesterday’s loaf, he, Brian, whined that the bread was all gone. So the first thing I did when I woke up this morning was to throw another loaf in the oven.  After a bit of experimentation I think I finally have it mastered…the loaf making that is. LOL. Who thought there would be “mastery” to rustic loaves of bread…trust me, there is.  Here is a photo of  today’s loaf…thought I should get a photo before Brian comes home and dismantles it!

Now, I’ve been given instructions to bake the pineapple upside down cake I was supposed to make for Easter, but was too sick. Gosh, that Brian can get bossy!

  3. Mmmm, after looking at that nice big loaf, I’ll have to get busy with Wally’s favorite buttermilk bread.
