Who is $1.05 Toilet Paper Man? Many have wondered…few know. Imagine if you will…it’s your first day on the job as a clerk in the “variety” section of the local grocery store. Having only ever shopped there before, I was not completely familiar with what all we carried and where it was on the shelves. [...]

Manscaping: verb: A term used to define male grooming below the belt. A male can use both an electric razor or a regular razor. A Mach 3 is preferable with the ladies on the testicular area. No female likes to deal with hairy balls, so men must education themselves on proper manscaping and maintenance [...]

peeve [peev] – noun 1. a source of annoyance or irritation: Tardiness is one of mygreatest peeves. 2. an annoyed or irritated mood: to be in a peeve. To those who have known me a loonngg time, it will not come as a surprise that I tend to be a bit opinionated. Now, seeing the move to ND as a new start/clean slate/fresh page…I wanted to take advantage and start off on the right foot with my [...]

As I was leaving the C-store this morning I passed a National Guardsman on his way into the store. Which got me thinking that it is probably a National Guard weekend here in Mott. I like National Guard weekends. It’s nice to see all those young (OK, that makes me feel old!) men around town [...]

What makes someone crabby? One of the things that I like about working at the grocery store is greeting and helping the customers. This one particular customer, however, always looks pissed off! I would greet him with a smile and a “Hi! How are you today?” he would grumble at me and usually would find [...]

It’s been the principle of the matter…but I’ve gotten to the point where I am questioning myself. This all goes back to the cell tower AT&T Wireless services is putting up adjacent to the property. Way back when, about the time we moved here or maybe before, Rochell was contacted about getting an easement for [...]

OMG…and the drama continues! I noticed after I got ready for work this morning that once again, there were construction vehicles parked in my back yard as well as cell tower parts. So I debated…and ended up picking up the phone and called the Sheriff. I really like Sara, our Sheriff. She talked me down! [...]

Nothing like being woken up at the butt-crack of dawn to bulldozers clearing snow out of my backyard. Normally this is not something I would complain about, but in this case the snow was bulldozed so 2 semi’s full of cell tower parts. ARGH!! We only have two cell phone providers for the rural parts [...]

I had fun catching up with Porter yesterday. During our phone conversation I mentioned it was snowing. Where he is at, in Seattle, snow isn’t as common an occurance as one might think. I told him it had started snowing before I got off work on Saturday and it was continuing through Sunday. I had [...]

I think I’ve been pretty clear up till now, that I’m a “bunny hugger” rather than a “bambi hunter”. And now I live in the Bambi hunting grounds. It is just something I could never do…don’t get me wrong! I’m not saying we should outlaw hunting or anything!!! It’s just that after going to high [...]
